Worth it, but some things you need to know
The system works like new, and looks like new when it arrives and the packaging was decent. Unfortunately, one of the games that came with it is broken, and was broken when it arrived. The NBA Live 06 disc was actually broken, as the faceplate of the UMD is broken, and the disc is actually unreadable. It is loose so I wasn't expecting the disc to be in great condition from the start but this is just bad outright, the game is literally unreadable. I've tried running out three times and only once did it work out of those times. Thankfully (in one case, rather) the games work. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is a great game, and the disc works fine, and Transformers....works. Games not good but it is a game alright. A reliable, fun system with a lot of life left in it.
I still have my original PSP, and have gone on to buy others. It still holds up well as a video game system / entertainment device. There is a vast library of UMD games as well as movies (some of them.now hard to find,) and I was grateful for the latter during Hurricane Sandy when this was one of the few devices I had charged. The ability to download games from the Playstation Network was an innovative feature. You can even look into putting custom firmware to run emulators. It will also work as a decent e-reader. Wi-Fi usually works flawlessly and sets up easily. Web browsing is a bit slow compared to newer devices and a little more difficult since there is no physical keypad or touchscreen capability. The newer PSP GO and Vita are obviously the newer successors to this device but it ... I still have my original PSP, and have gone on to buy others.
