This is the kind of movie that grabs your interest out the gate. FUN for everyone, I assure you there are laughs aplenty for all humor types! The storyline is sweet, BUT I will say that if you are a Parent who has recently had a missing child...You may want to skip this film, for now. It tugs at your heart and it won't let you go!!! Plus the copy I bought has an additional 20 minutes of original unseen footage! SO get a copy, grab your snacks, family and/or friends or just enjoy it all by yourself. This is a fun classic comedy (1988) with a really sweet love story wrapped into it. A little boy, Josh, wishes he were BIG (after seeing the girl he likes with a much bigger and older boy standing in line at a carnival ride) after putting a coin into a fortune telling machine. A card is then dispensed from the machine saying his WISH had been GRANTED! It is eerie because then he notices the machine wasn't even plugged in at the time! After he wakes up the next morning, his body IS bigger- that of an adult man! Tom Hanks plays the part of the adult Josh, of course in his "mind" he is still a little boy! The resulting movie is hilarious but also has tender moments as he starts to fall in love with a lady co-worker, and she, with him. It is a very enjoyable film and it is PG so it is safe to ...
