  • Wedding Crashers - Uncorked

Lifelong friends, John Beckwith (Owen Wilson) and Jeremy Gray (Vince Vaughn) have a hobby--they crash weddings. In the celebratory, romantic and disinhibited atmosphere of wedding receptions, these two party animals make out like bandits when it comes to picking up women. John and Jeremy are so successful because they approach the weddings with an undisguised zest and liberated desire to just have a great time. They adopt pre-agreed identities with accompanying background information and successfully melt into receptions where they are the life and soul of the party. When the film begins, John is getting a little tired of all the merriment, but Jeremy is eager to clean up on the next season's round of weddings. One of the reasons their deception works so well is that they keep within the ...

  • Could be the funniest Duo Ever. A Must See For Laughs

Although Wilson and Vaughn have appeared in 4 movies to date together, this is the first where they've both taken star billing. In this film, John Beckwith (Owen Wilson) and Jeremy Klein (Vince Vaughn) are a pair of divorce mediators whose passion in life is sneaking into weddings to take advantage of the free food, the party, wine, champagne, and of course the single women. They have a strict wedding crashers "rulebook", which dictates the etiquette of the pick-up, such as 'never use your real name'. It also suggests, by behaving raucously, loudly and generally being the life-and-soul of the party, people will think you are so obnoxious, you could not possibly have been invited to the wedding ceremony. The dastardly duo eventually find themselves at odds with each other when John meets ...

  • Wedding Crashers - Uncorked

The thirty and something years old bachelor partners and best friends divorce mediators John Beckwith and Jeremy Grey have a hobby of crashing weddings following predetermined rules to have one night stand with different women. When they decide to crash the most important wedding of Washington pretending they are brothers, in a party promoted by the Secretary of Treasury William Cleary, John breaks their rules and has a crush on Claire Cleary and Jeremy scores the sex-addicted Gloria Cleary, both daughters of William. Gloria invites Jeremy to spend the weekend at the Cleary family estate, and John sees the chance to be close to Claire, in spite of her engagement with the arrogant Zachary "Sack" Lodge. Along the weekend with the dysfunctional Cleary family, John and Jeremy will fall in love ...

  • Wedding Crashers.. Crashed Hard.

"Wedding Crashers" is all runway and no takeoff. It assembles the elements for a laugh-out-loud comedy, but it can't make them fly. There are individual moments that are very funny. But it takes a merciless focus to make a good comedy, and the director, David Dobkin, has too much else on his mind. There are sequences involving Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson where you sense that the actors should have just broken into the cockpit and taken over the controls. There are few lonelier sights than a good comedian being funny in a movie that doesn't know what funny is. The concept is terrific. The ads will fill the theaters on opening weekend, but people will trail out thinking, gee, I dunno ... why all the soppy sentiment and whose idea was the potty-mouthed grandmother? And don't they know that ...

  • Weddin Crashers 2006

Well I finally saw one of the most talked about films this year; Wedding Crashers. It is a good movie. And one I will buy just for the fantastic cast. Many situations are interesting and this is one flick for both guys and gals. The love story is from a guys perspective so everyone is happy. Although I wouldn't call this laugh out loud funny it is very intertaining. If you liked Chris Farley or the Three Stooges this is laugh out loud. IF your comedic taste runs to the more sublime this is a good film that is well worth seeing but maybe not laugh out loud funny. All in all get this flick just so you can join the conversation around the cooler at work!
