The list of accomplishments and accolades accumulated by The Eagles is too long to recount, their music having been a staple of American music since the 1970s, and their popularity never waning. With five number-one singles and four number-one albums, two of which are among the best-selling records of all time, the group has helped form the backbone of classic rock; hits like "Desperado," "Hotel California," and "Lyin' Eyes" are instantly recognizable and timeless. After helping to popularize the Southern California rock sound of the '70s, the group--at this point made up of Joe Walsh, Don Henley, Glenn Frey, and Timothy Schmit--broke up to pursue solo projects, but reunited in 1994 in recognition of the ever-loyal fans who still wanted to see them playing together. This 2004 concert, held in Melbourne, Australia, during The Eagles' monumental farewell tour, was one of the highlights of this historic world event, as one of the most popular American bands of all time says goodbye to its countless adoring fans.

    Eagles Farewell 1 tour hd-dvd

    Absolutely stunning, both visually and musically. It's easy to forget how many superb songs these people have recorded over the years. All the power of their older material is intact and they bring a few fresh songs too the party as well. My only caveat: don't waste your money if your home theater sound system came in one box or if you think 40" is a big screen...

    One of the Best HD DVD titles

    The video was so sharp I had to turn down HDTV. I have three settings one I don't use as thats the blown out over contrasted or Best Buy setting. Two is a little softer and three the one I used to watch this one is even softer. I really enjoyed the HD sound would of liked to turn it up a little but I have to live with my wife LOL. If you like music video this is one you have to have. You could even see the spit shoot out of the Sax-o-phone every now and than.

    The Eagles-Farewell 1 Tour: Live From Melbourne DVD

    The Eagles have been around so long, because of the great music they preform. Watching them live in concert you can tell they love what they do. I love this DVD because of its great quality of picture & sound. I bought it because of the great deal on eBay. Fast and easy.
