    Musicals are wonderful!

    We like to watch as many musicals as we can. I just wish there were more. Most of Rodger & Hammerstein Musicals are wonderful. We have a hard time watching State Fair, and really have hated Rod Sterling, in the Oklahoma musical. But, in other aspects it is really a nice story. Our greatest one will be South Pacific, with Sound of Music our second, and our third The King & I. Oklahoma fourth, Carousel fifth, and State Fair Last! It states 12 disc's. There are one each of Blue-Ray, and the others Theater Analog. with Trailers. We like the Blue-ray versions. Well worth the price. Nice settings, except in State Fair, if you like Texas and Pigs, well, then you will like Good OL State fair.

    Great Delight to Watch

    A great collection of favorite musical shows in one box set! The movies were excellently remastered that the movies appear picturesque, clear and concise. I liked that "South Pacific" one of my favorites, gave me two versions of the movie -- I specially liked the Road Show version; The "Sound of Music" was a delight to watch all over again with beautiful scenic views of Austria and Salzburg and the Special Features were excellent since I have not seen these features in the past. The "King and I" relived the wonderful songs we used to sing in the past; Oklahoma, Carousel, State Fair were wonderful too. I preferred the older version of State Fair since it gave me more of an authentic feeling of a state fair. All in all, this is a great collection to own.

    OSCAR & HAMMERSTEIN DVD COLLECTION

    The only movie that I am lukewarm about is STATE FAIR”, the rest of the movies on DVD are great because I grew up watching these movies whenever they were shown on TV, my father enjoyed these old time MOVIE/MUSICALS.
