    Easy installation and OEM parts are made to fit

    Disassembling the dash pieces just to get to the point of installing the OEM brake controller was the challenge, not difficult but just a bit tedious. After installation you do have to enable the brake controller using an OBD2 tool and the Forscan software which was very simple. I had never used an OBD2 tool or the Forscan software, but it was pretty easy. Just the fact that the brake controller is now a part of the dash, mounted into the cut-out that was already there, versus adding an aftermarket brake controller and screwing it into the dash is great. I did pay quite a bit more buying the OEM part but definitely preferred versus buying something "Made in Ch*na" Many thanks to the online parts team at Fairway Ford in Ohio for getting the part to me so quickly.     Knock off Motocraft part.

    Nothing good about product. Advertised as an OEM Motocraft part and it is only knock off with Motocraft labeling. This was verified by local ford mechanic. Spend the money and purchase from a Ford dealer to assure a quality part

    New Genuine Ford part at used $$$

    Received the brake controller on the day promised. It was a genuine Ford part. Had the indented labels (not printed) and weighed 5.5oz, and made in Mexico. So this should have a heat sink in it and not some Chinese knock-off. Fit perfectly in my F150 XL Sport. Haven't used it yet. Waiting to program the PCU to recognize it. That will be the real test.     Go with the OEM product!

    You just can't beat factory parts and this is MUCH better than aftermarket. Love that it was designed to fit in the dash. Would have been nice if Ford hadn't required a special software to activate the item but overall the process was simple enough and worked on first try.
