Easy to read sockets
I bought this set because each socket is marked with a very large, easy to read, number. Overall quality is surprisingly good for this price range. The ratchets work smoothly, and the release button makes swapping sockets easy. The case is very robust and well organized. All-in-all, I'd score this set; "9" out of 10. My only complaint is the sockets are hard to remove from the case but, maybe that will loosen over time. I bought this set because each socket is marked with a very large, easy to read, number. Socket tray
I found the tray the sockets are stored in makes it almost impossible to get the sockets out. It seems somebody at Stanley would of tested the tray and noticed how hard it is to get the sockets out and redesigned the tray before selling the socket set. A tray with the nubs holding the sockets in would of been better without them. I really didn't want to return the socket set because of this so what I did with a utility knife I cut all the nubs off by slicing them off holding the sockets in. It took a while to get each socket to be able to get each one out with little effort. I know maybe you wouldn't want to spend the time doing that but it worked for me. I'm sure I'm not the only one who know about this issue and I would think Stanley would redesign the tray by now as this isn't a brand ... IM HAPPY WITH STANLEY SOCKET SET
So far so good, kind of Early to give a full review, only used this Stanley set a few times but NO PROBLEMS , its a socket set and it TIGHTENS & LOOSENS bolts, nuts .... THIS seems like a solid made socket set and alls good .. Some people complain that the sockets are hard to get out, a small screw driver easily pops them out... Good bargain!
I bought this to have a cheap, emergency set for the truck, tractor, etc. made in Taiwan I believe, but the quality is pretty decent…especially for the money. I wouldn’t trust it in the shop daily, but it’s definitely ample for a home owner or back up set. Would give it 5 stars if it were a tad more robust or made in the USA. Overall, great set for the money!
