The WS 4506-E switch operates with either classic or E-series line cards with a bandwidth scalability of 48 gigabits per second per slot. It also offers support for supervisor engines 8-E, 8L-E, 7-E, 7L-E, 6L, and 6L-E. If accessories are an issue, this product has you covered there, too. Aside from a supervisor engine and line cards, you also have the option to add other accessories. Such accessories include memory, a fan, and a power supply which you can plug in to one of the two built-in power supply bays.
