It is secure but takes away the top tray
This console vault is easy to install (just closely follow directions) and provides great security for your items. But, you will lose the top OEM 1/2 tray and after market trays will no longer fit. That’s ok with me. I installed a couple of containers inside the vault for small items. And I put thin rubber on the top. A square section on the door, thin strips around the edges to keep a few lose item like pens from rattling around. The 12v power inside the console can be used. Just snake the wire up through a front corner of the lid.This console vault is easy to install (just closely follow directions) and provides great security for your items. I like it very much. I put in my initial combination and wanted to change it and screwed up in the process and now I can't lock it again. Is there aa way to easily get a combination back in. The vault is now open. Can I purchase a new lock and switch them?
