Tough case takes a beating & lasts long time
My last OtterBox Defender Case lasted for 4 years. I'm an adventure junkie so this has been dropped off cliffs, in water, and been exposed to bitter cold. No issues and protected my phone 100%. The case itself is not "stylish" to me, but takes care of business. I do use a screen protector under the clear hard plastic screen. I had to buy a replacement only because I ripped the spot that opens for charging. Definitely worth every penny!!My last OtterBox Defender Case lasted for 4 years. Just purchased my second case. It took 2 years to wear out the first, which is pretty incredible. Since I work in construction trades, where the norm is a dirty/dusty/wet environment, I thought this would be done in only a couple months. To my surprise, my phone has survived drops from ladders and trips into buckets of plaster, not to mention just daily abuse. Indestructible. Never own a phone without an Otter Case.
My old phone has had an Otter case for 2 years and looks like brand new. My kids did not have Otter cases and have had to replace broken phones multiple times in the same period. The only thing that eventually needs replacing, if you are hard on phones, is the screen. Too bad they don't sell separate screen replacements Keep in mind that those plug- in credit card readers, like the one that PayPal provides won't plug in with the Otter case on. I blame the credit card reader they should make the plug longer. NEVER buy a phone without buying an Otter case with it.My old phone has had an Otter case for 2 years and looks like brand new.
