Gravy seperator not perfect but works
Of course this 4 cup gravy separator is plastic (I would have paid more for glass). I found that the cup portion of this item should have been designed a little taller than the spout as the grease wants to pour out a bit when you tip it. I took care of this problem by covering up the top of the cup with a piece of foil. Other than that, I like it. Very much worth having in the kitchen!

Sturdy, no frills, value.
The separator is a similar plastic and thickness to an old-school food processor bowl. I don't mind that there is no built-in strainer since I have my own strainers and don't like overly-complicated gadgets. This unit is large, sturdy, and dishwasher safe. It's just right!

Must-Have for all cooks.
Super easy way to separate oil from cooking or braising liquid before finishing the sauce or gravy. Works way better than trying to skim the fat with a spoon.

This is a very good gravy separator. The only problem with that is that you can't pour very hot liquid into it. You have to wait a bit until the liquid cools down slightly.
