This was a genuine GE part and was the exact fit. I got it in about 4 days and already installed in my daughter's dishwasher and it is working great. If this part goes bad your heating element will not work to heat the water or dry the dishes. It takes about 30 minutes to install by the time you clean the sump area of buildup, etc.
