    Louise Penny's stories are fine wine waiting to be uncorked. Read, relax & enjoy.

    I highly recommend reading at least one of Louise Penny's books before beginning this one. Even though the "usual" characters are not present, they will give you some insight into where the stars of this book have come from. You will breathe in the essence of this man, Armand Gamache. His complexities continue to unfold to feed us a story unlike the others. But, it is important not to forget who he has been and what he has done up to this point. You will not be disappointed.

    A nice change of locale for Inspector Gamache

    I found "All the Devils are Here" to be a compelling read; I liked it very much. The last few Gamache novels have been very dark; I didn't enjoy them as much as the earlier books. Perhaps because "All the Devils are Here" has a totally different setting -- and only a few familiar characters -- it is a more enjoyable experience. I will read it again!

    Louise's Latest Book Stands Alone

    Even if you haven't read all her others you will still enjoy this one. Very compelling and character development the best. She takes you all over Paris in this one. Many twists and turns....surprises! Helps if you know a little French.
