Core i5-10400 provides best performance per $ cost for a comparable CPU today. I stuck with 10th Gen since 10G CPU and motherboards are relatively affordable compared to 12th Gen. i5-10400 includes graphics processor onboard for easier setup and GPU performs well enough to easily handle daily computing tasks. For high end gaming the i5-10400 can be paired with a graphics card to support much higher frame rates. Very pleased with performance overall.Core i5-10400 provides best performance per $ cost for a comparable CPU today. Best speed for the money!
Performs as well per thread as my i7-10700K running protein folding models. Runs much cooler. 72W max power consumption compared to 158W max power consumption for the 10-700K. Around half the power to provide three-quarters of the computing power.

Stock cooler impossible to install. Its wobbly and make no contact with spu Spu overheats almost immediately. Had to buy new cooler . Other than that happy with my purchase.
