    Dear Martin

    I am a retired high school English teacher (as of this past June); I learned that this novel was assigned as summer reading and decided to read it out of a sense of solidarity for the students and colleagues I know so well. I found it engaging, informative, and timely, all clearly important foundational points for any high school classroom. As soon as I finished reading it, I ordered a second novel from this same insightful author!
