I bought a new one at Best Buy in Canada and it was defective so I purchased this one that was refurbished. It worked like a gem as soon as it was plugged into the car. I believe refurbished electronics are better than new ones as the Chinese do not have good quality control and probably never check to see if the device is actually working. Not very happy with my initial purchase I used it for about 15 minutes and it shut off n wouldn't turn back on i came Home to Charge it n its Been charging about 6 hours n if I take it Off the charger the battery goes to dead n it shuts Off I have to have it plugged in to charge while I Use it 😢

    Great GPS very happy with it..

    Nice unit. I've used Garmin GPS units for years. I can trasnfer data from one and more it to a new one fairly easily and not reprogram anything. I've seen 4 versions over the years and they have kept the core operating system working so you don't have to learn any new stuff. I like how it will even make sure your in the correct lane if the road splits its a nice feature. Just ordered the backup camera for it. big help hitching up my trailers. just took this unit on a 1700 mile ride and it worked perfectly.

    Just right...

    Nice uppgrade from my vintage Nuvi 40 (still working after all these years). I like the live traffic feature, look-ahead is pretty cool. Nice size, alerts are "customizeable" so it doesn't become annoying. I pretty much know where I'm going most of the time, but it's fun to have the Garmin 52 along if nothing else for the entertainment value.

    Old school user

    This Garmin has a lot of new features compared to my 8 year old one which is a plus. The thing i didn't like is it slow to react to show the speed i'm traveling and when the speed limit changes on the highway.

    Serviceable for the price

    Product is a good standard GPS. It works well and I think is pretty accurate. The only problem I have with the product is that there is no contrast button to control the glare or lack of clarity in the screen at times. If it is anywhere near sunlight you have much difficulty in reading the screen or the maps.

    Nice product

    I have a larger Garmin with a backup camera, but I got tired of moving it vehicle to vehicle and misplacing it at times. I bought this one for my work truck. First thing I notice is it has several features my bigger one does not. I am guessing the newer circuitry makes this possible. I love this device. It has a nice sharp clear picture. It is a perfect size to not be in the way like my larger one. It is bright and colorful. So glad I purchased it. It does make my life better. I might also mention that I do disaster work and cell phones don't work where the power gird is down. It is nice and dependable because it is satellite connected, and not depending on the power grid to keep the cell towers up.
