Der Epson TM-T88II POS Thermodrucker ist ein Kassenbondrucker fr den Einzelhandel. Er ist 145x195x148 mm gro (BxTxH) und wiegt ohne Papierrolle 1,8 kg. Anders als bei Laser- oder Tintenstrahldruckern bringt ein Kassenbon Thermodrucker Buchstaben und Abbildungen toner- bzw. tintenfrei auf das Papier. Der Epson TM fhrt den Druckauftrag aus, indem er ein hitzeempfindliches Spezialpapier an einem hitzeabgebenden Druckkopf oder Druckkamm vorbeifhrt. Die Hitze verfrbt das Papier punktuell und lsst so einen Abdruck, sprich den Kassenbon entstehen. Der Anwender muss daher keine Toner- oder Tintenkartuschen wechseln oder gar kaufen. Der Epson T88II POS zeichnet sich durch drei weitere Eigenschaften aus: Zum einen nutzt er die Papierflche optimal und senkt damit die Kosten fr Thermopapier. Zum anderen bleibt die Beschriftung auf den Kassenbons sehr lange leserlich. Dieses Epson TM Gert druckt 120 mm/s oder 28 Zeilen pro Minute bei einer Auflsung von 180x180 dpi.
