About this product

Product Information

Slay the competition with the Intel Core 3570K 3.4 GHz Quad-Core Processor. An affordable and capable LGA1155 socket CPU, it is packed with useful features sure to please the demanding user. Delivering amazing performance with stunning visuals on an all-in-one or standard PC, this processor doesn't need a designated graphics card. Intel Quick Sync Video delivers extremely fast video conversion for portable media players, online sharing, and video editing and authoring, making it an excellent choice for IT professionals. It is also appropriate for those who demand a quiet machine. This processor stays cooler for longer with no requirement for additional fans or heatsinks when working under load. The processor is fast and efficient, with support for up to 32GB of RAM.The Intel Core i5-3570K CPU brings four powerful cores, with each core clocking in at 3.4 GHz. For overclocking, Intel has engineered this unit with significant thermal headroom. Each core has a maximum turbo speed of 3.8 GHz, which can be maintained without overheating or causing damage to the core. The 3570K supports up to 32 GB of DDR3 1600 RAM, and it connects to the memory with two dedicated channels at a maximum bus speed of 25.6 GB/s. A 6 MB processor cache can hold plenty of data before processing, significantly decreasing latency by reducing calls to memory. The Intel Core i5-3570K is compatible with any Intel motherboard equipped with a Sandy Bridge CPU socket, a common feature on many ATX desktop motherboards. These CPUs use advanced display technologies to handle moderately complex graphical rendering tasks without the need for a dedicated GPU. Intel Clear Video Technology renders HD quality video for cleaner images, more stable videos, and more realistic colors. InTru 3D combines with a flexible display interface to render realistic 3D images over a number of displays. These processors have a base graphics rendering clock frequency of 650 MHz, which rivals even a dedicated video card in terms of dedicated video processing power. This clock speed can be increased up to 1.1 GHz under a heavy processing load. For editing or gaming on a smaller rig, the Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4 GHz CPU is well equipped.A number of hardware optimizations make this CPU well suited for a wide variety of computational tasks. SpeedStep and Thermal Monitoring Technologies reduce power consumption when the unit is under light load, reducing heat and extending the life of your components. AES instructions allow these CPUs to quickly encrypt and decrypt files and execute other cryptographic applications rapidly. Native 64-bit instructions ensure that you can run 32- and 64-bit applications simultaneously, future proofing your system against advances in computing. AVX extensions to the instruction sets allow you to easily execute instructions you call regularly more quickly. Virtualization technologies in Intel Core 3570K allow you to run virtual environments smoothly and safely. Extended page tables allow you to allocate and deallocate memory in virtual environments without losing performance or compromising security. Execute Disable Bit protects your hardware from malware and stops malicious code from spreading or executing.

Best I could have hoped for.

I was skeptical when I opened the box. There seems to be some sort of carbon scoring on the cpu I have never seen on one before, but, I bought this for a basic build I could take to work and not worry about cost. For $100 i got this cpu and a z77 its mobo here on ebay, paired it with an rx460, 16gbs of 1600mhz ram (OC'd to 2100) and an old coolermaster air cooler made back during the socket 775 era and damb, 4.7ghz at max 70c and we're off to the RTS and some open world races. Not a single game I play dips down to 30 fps. That is, I play They are Billions, Civilization 5 and 6, some Minecraft and i use a drawing pad for artwork. Things that I can pause at work when i actually need to you know, work. Very happy with the purchase.

    Not what I was expecting.

What is happening here! I installed this processor (i5-3570) on ASUS motherboard (P8Z68-V LX) includes latest bios (4105), but processor runs at 1.60GHz speed. Why? What went wrong here? The stated Base Frequency is 3.40GHz. The stated Turbo Frequency is 3.80GHz. Does the motherboard fully supports this processor, it is stated on ASUS website that it do support this processor from bios version 3904. My computer is slow but very stable. That is the only good part------stable.

  • Great bargain CPU

Got this to upgrade my old Dell XPS 8500 and I was not mistaken. This is a great CPU for most anything you may come up against. My gaming computer has a 4690K and this thing runs just below it for half the price of the next gen i5 CPU. Great upgrade that keeps an older Z77 series board relevant for anything out side of video editing or super high CPU needs.

  • Good processor, very efficient. Best value on the market at the moment.

Good processor, not really an upgrade from a 2500k, but slightly more efficient per clock and per watt. Haven't overclocked yet, so I can't comment on that. If you're using an older chipset that only supports the Ivy Bridge processors with a BIOS upgrade, make sure you do the upgrade before you install the 3570k. I wasted a lot of time trouble shooting compatibility, and had to put in an older processor to upgrade the BIOS on a GA-Z68X-UD3P. Learn from my mistakes! In my opinion this CPU is the best value right now. i7s are not worth the upgrade except in very unlikely situations where you would usually buy Enterprise hardware anyway. The 3000 series is a better value than the second generation of Ivy Bridge, which didn't offer any architectural improvements, but ...

  • Best processor in this model line up.

I needed to upgrade the processing power on my sons PC. This is the fastest unlocked chip available in this particular product line. It let me take advantage of the A.I. overclocking feature of his motherboard.
