    AMD Sempron

    I have always had good luck with AMD chips. The only one I ever fried was due to lightning and I find them quicker than comparable Intel chips. I even run off some old 1ghz Athalon chips with no problem on Win XP and it absolutely flies with Puppy Linux and 250 gb of ram , XP runs okay w/ 500 but 750mb to 1 gb if better.
