  • A Worthy Sequel

A worthy sequel to what is perhaps one of the best PC games of all time (Rome: Total War). The Barbarian Invasion takes place chronologically immediately following where the first game ends and takes you up until the (real-world) timeline of when Rome collapses amid a flurry of Barbarian cultures overrunning the once vast Empire. The game plays as a stand-alone, it doesn't interact with the previous game like other expansions do (like for games such as Age of Empires 1, 2, 3, Roller Coaster Tycoon 1, 2, 3, etc.). But, you still need to have the previous original game to be able to play this sequel. I highly recommend this game for any fan of Rome: Total War, or any fan of any of the other Total War games. If you own Rome: Total War, this is a must-buy!
