      What is Fructose?

      Fructose is a natural sugar substitute derived from fruit. It tastes very close to sugar, and it doesn't have the nasty bitter aftertaste of most other non-sugar sweeteners. In fact, it has a very nice "cool" flavor. And it's slightly sweeter than sugar, which means you don't have to use so much of it. This cost me about $9, including postage--a very good value.

      Fructose for daily use

      Great product to have a sweetener that can be used in place of table sugar. Looks exactly like sugar and tastes the same. it has a low glycemic index of 19 as opposed to raw sugar's 65. Can be used for low temperature application like warm oatmeal. Drawback is that it cannot be used for high temperature baking as it loses its sweetness. Most importantly, it is not the same as High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) which has a high glycemic index 80. Note all the values quoted are approximate. Daily use of fructose that even the diabetics can consume: Overnight soaked steel cut oats warmed with freshly ground flax seeds Lime juice drink Low temperature dessert application

      Fantastic stuff this acetaminophen!

      I'm diabetic and this product metabolizes for me differently than sugar . I love that I can bake with it and it always tastes just like sugar without raising my blood sugar numbers. I'm sold on it for life!!!

      Less is more with Now fructose.

      Less Now fructose is needed to sweeten foods,(by as much as half), so less sweetener is used and consumed, which is a good thing. I sprinkle it on cereal, make jams and jellies, and use it in general cooking when sugar is called for.
