About this product

Product Information

Splinter Cell: Double Agent takes the stealth-based series in a new direction after three successful covert operations on multiple platforms. After learning his teenage daughter was killed in a car crash, a despondent Sam Fisher is unable to complete his duties for the NSA's splinter cell, Third Echelon, and is reassigned as a NOC, a non-official cover agent who operates from within dangerous organizations. His mission is to infiltrate a domestic terrorist group called the John Brown's Army. For the first time in the series, Fisher cannot rely on his gadgets or the direct support of the NSA. He must instead fall back on his keen instincts to survive while working deep undercover.

Instead of advancing through linear missions across a series of international locales, players will experience a branching storyline with multiple endings, where decisions made at one juncture will influence subsequent events as the game progresses. Fisher must initially earn the trust of the John Brown's Army to become a card-carrying member, so he must engage in carefully orchestrated heists and even an elaborate prison break to get in the good graces of key contact Jamie Washington. If Fisher is successful in befriending Washington, he will be invited to the terrorist group's headquarters, a multi-floor structure that serves as a jumping point for future missions.

From that point on, Fisher will be faced with multiple moral decisions as he walks a fine line between working with the JBA and on behalf of his NSA mentor, Irving Lambert. He will also be partnered with an AI-controlled character in many of the missions, introducing a new element to the single-player game. While the Wii version of Double Agent is essentially a port of the PlayStation 2 version (minus the online multiplayer modes), it offers a revamped control scheme built around the platform's motion-sensing abilities. Players can shake the Wii Remote to pick locks and perform various other acrobatics by tilting, swinging, and pointing the controller at the television screen.

  • Great gameplay and graphics...but the controls could have been better...

Although the graphics are great and the game play and missions are challenging, it has a better story than previous Splinter Cell games, and also a good amount of cooperative two-player missions, but, with it being a wii game i was expecting something a little bit better...for me...the one major flaw is the controls...their a little messed up as far as how you move and interact with areas and objects in the game, but...once you learn the basics it's not that bad...it just takes some time getting used to the controls

  • Takes some getting used to

First let me say I think people have written off the 1st person shooter games for wii a little early, they take a steady hand and a few hours to get used to but once you do there is nothing like it . Now don't get me wrong there are a few out there that are just flat out bad ( controls, story line, and graphics )but on the other side there are a few that should have given there ps3 or xbox360 versions a run for there money (not considering the graphics). This is one of those games the controls are edgy and take some skill to master. I have read other reviews that state the controls are hard to use ... aiming is all about pointing your wiimote at the target (ever shot a gun? there is no joystick...)and other commands take a little effort as well (like jumping). The story line is good and ...

  • Good Game

This is a pretty good game, even though I wasn't paying attention when started bidding on it!, I didn't realize I was bidding on THIS GAME, until I won it! It actually turned out to be a pretty cool game since I like previous splinter cells. The controls are pretty challenging for the wii, and are sometimes hard to remember when your trying to get through the missions quickly. If you familiar with the older splinter cell games for xbox and ps2, then you would know that they are sometimes dark and its hard to navagate, but this one is pretty bright.

  • Great Game

Now its a little wierd at first if your used to other Splinter Cell games from the Xbox or Gamecube or whatever. But gameplay is great, graphics are great, and the story is amazing. I can definetly vouch for Splinter Cell Double Agent.

  • Great game! worth the challenge!

I purchased this game for my husband and i think it's great for the simple fact that it is a challenge for him. All the other games he played ex:007, Call of Duties he breezed right thru. but this game has is eyes wide open and i'm loving it!
