Product Information

Thousands of players join together online, to protect the world from inter-planar calamity, and to carry on a brutal civil war fueled by the essence of life and death. Rift is a persistent-world role-playing game with solo and group-oriented quests, flexible character-class customization, and an original fantasy setting. The world of Telara is special because of its proximity to other planes of existence. Ancient protections have recently been unbalanced, allowing these other planes to collide with Telara, creating violent rifts which offer passage back and forth to other realms of reality. <br><br>Rift's four main playable classes are mage, cleric, rogue, and warrior, each with several sub-class choices. As characters progress, they earn points for new abilities and unlock additional sub-classes. Advanced players can save up to four different ability configurations, and switch between these "roles" at will (when not in combat). Choosing from six available character races, players align with either the Guardian or the Defiant, and the game's player-versus-player battles are fought between these two factions. The interface is similar to those of contemporary online RPGs, with mouse-and-keyboard control and an action-button panel across the bottom of the screen. Rift requires a paid subscription for ongoing play.<br><br>In addition to the full game and first month's play, the Collector's Edition of Rift includes a themed 8GB flash drive, a mouse pad featuring art from the game, the soundtrack on CD, and a hardcover graphic novel incorporating the five-issue Rift comic series. In-game extras include a special turtle mount, a larger backpack, and an exclusive vanity pet.

    The things you like about MMOs with many quality-of-life improvements over other games.

    Level one character and you can respec to builds that fulfill other roles (tank, healer, dps, support...) You don't have to level up another character. But when you do, you have a ton of different options with different game play. And the wardrobe system is the best of any MMO I've seen.

    If you are getting bored of WoW and need a familiar but fun MMO Rift is it!

    Collector's Edition is worth it, you get the 24 slot bag, a mount right away so you can do quest faster, and a cool pet. Compared to WoW, I am having more fun in this game, its really a familiar game but not Identical. But of course its all preference.

    Great Game for a casual gamer such as myself.

    Great game. If you want to be hardcore, there is content for you, If you want to be casual (like me) then this is certainly the game for you. The zone events are frequent and fun but check your adversaries before jumping in as sometimes they are in the wrong area ensuring a quick death.

    great game. my kids love it! the graphics are awesome and the membership is not that bad. and the game is by far better than WOW~~!!!!

    Blew me away!

    Beyond any expectations I had. Not only is the content amazing, the graphics and effects phenomenal but the customer service experience i had with them was unmatched.. Almost unheard of in every department i dealth with them. Brilliant!
