Make sure your laptop has a socketed processor before purchase.
Makes a great upgrade to old Socket M laptops (provided the chipset can support it). I love the T7500 and it will always hold a place in my heart as it's younger cousin, the T7300 was the heart of my very first laptop growing up. Magnificent beast, if you're thinking of doing an upgrade, just go for it. The price is right.

Best upgrade processor for the socket I've ever purchased in my entire life
This processor was the perfect and best replacement for the terrible slow single core Celeron M 530 I believe it was I replaced in a clients Acer Aspire 5315-2326. It was such a simple replacement it wasn't even fair and it changed an old Acer Aspire from 2004 into a DUO Core 2013 upgraded super fast laptop all for the price of $6.00 for the CPU, $6 for MX4 thermal paste, and some thermal paste cleaner and 1500 / 2000 grit sandpaper and a 20oz bottle of water. LOL YOU HAVE TO UPDATE THE BIOS ON ANY LAPTOP TO THE NEWEST ONE OR IT WILL NOT WORK USING THIS CPU TO UPGRADE ANY LAPTOP!!!! All I had to do instead of the usual tear the entire laptop apart and strip it all the way down to the motherboard and CPU / GPU heat sink cooler was pop off the large cover on the bottom of the Acer. This cover is massive, making it so easy to get at the ram, hard drive, and the entire heat sink! I've never seen this on another laptop and I've repaired 100's of different laptops. I simply took out the fan (which was so packed with lint, hair, dirt, and dust that no air could get through it at all, which burned out the fan), took off the copper heat sink carefully. Cleaned off all the rock hard junk thermal paste that came from the factory on the heat sink and old CPU (might as well keep the Celeron M, never know when it could come in handy). Then I used compressed air, blew all the dust from the inside of the Acer out. Cleaned everything I could see with rubbing alcohol and Q tips until it was spotless inside looking new again. Then I lapped the copper heat spreader on the heat sink with some 1000 grit sand paper eventually ending with 2000 grit until it was perfectly smooth, 100% level and flat (it wasn't totally flat from the factory, actually was bowed) then took out this T7500 and lapped it also. But with the CPU I started with 2000 and ended with 2000 grit because with CPU's you only want to lap a small amount, just to make sure the silver heat spreader on the CPU is also 100% flat. Then I simply popped the CPU into the socket T and carefully turned the screw clockwise to lock it into place. I then installed the 3GB (Acer won't accept 4GB) of ram ($30 eBay)replacing the two 256mb ram sticks (yes I know, what a joke with the two 256mb ram sticks) swapped out the old 160GB 5400rpm HDD for a 60GB Kingston SATA 3 solid state hard drive ($50 on eBay). Then carefully put MX4 thermal compound on the CPU, a super thin coat of thermal paste on the GPU, a copper shim on the GPU, then another normal coat of thermal paste. Then carefully and slowly lower the heat sink onto the CPU & GPU having someone else use there hands to press down with light force on the heat sink while I tighten the screws in a cross X one turn at a time correct method so there is not one single air bubble in my thermal compound. Put the new cooler fan on, then the cover to the bottom and turn it on. Install Windows 7 32 bit and after it is updated and all the software is installed the T7500 RUNS AWESOME! It actually runs faster and cooler than the i3 in my HP laptop! From sitting ice cold and off, after you press the power button, you can be surfing internet explorer in 12 seconds easily. Client has $6 in the CPU, $6 in MX4, $50 or $60 into the Kingston SSHD, and another $25 into the ram. So a total of $87 in parts and $100 to me for labor and that includes me installing Win 7 32 bit w/ all the updates and Office 2010 Pro. I think he made out good for $187. What do you think?

My fault, looked at wrong specs, on laptop. Ordered wrong cpu, so it didn't work. But I did have to order new power ribbons. But I'm sure it would have worked.

This CPU is perfect for a Gateway M 6750. All I need to do is take out the old CPU and put the new one in. As long as a bios is up to date you should not have to make any changes.
