  • Good inexpensive review of the 2005-2006 Season

As a Steelers fan since AFTER they won their four Super Bowls, I felt Super Bowl XL was much sweeter than their more recent win. Perennial playoff and AFC Championship teams, they could never get that elusive trophy--for 26 years. It was not as if they didn't come close: a lost Super Bowl and three AFC Championship losses AT HOME (we won't even count the 1984 AFC Championship in Miami!) But it was the 2004-2005 season that was the most heartbreaking. A fifteen game winning streak snapped by New England in the AFC Championship and Hines Ward crying that he wanted Jerome Bettis's potential last year to be a Championship year. Well strange things happen sometimes. Not nearly the record they had in 2004, Pittsburgh barely makes the playoffs-- but plays some of the best football in ...

  • I'm a Patriots fan.... but.... The NFL Makes Great DVDs

Now this isn't my favorite DVD... mostly because I am a New England Patriots fan and thats where my heart lies. But - the NFL and NFL films ALWAYS produces top notch films and collections of particular seasons or performances. The Pittsburgh Steelers had a wild ride through the playoffs - particularly the Indy Colts game in the second round of the NFL playoffs. If you are a Steelers fan - or looking to give a Steelers fan the right gift... The NFL Super Bowl XL Champions DVD is on target (like a Tom Brady pass).

  • Contractually mandated NFL win, refs won game, not pit

What a farce this dvd shows. The referees were made sure the NFL did not suffer a small market revenue loss by making sure heavy eyes were on Seattle. Only 2 illegal procedure calls against Pitt, rest on Seattle, and always when it benefited Pitt directly! Behind 14-10, refs threw a flag for block in the back after the receiver caught ball on Pitt 2 yard line. Lets make sure Seahawks don't score. Just one bad example of biased prejudice so that the league can profit off a so called legendary team who apparently loves to take credit not due to them. WHat a sham, this DVD skimps over that facts, and glosses Pitt like they won the game and not the referees who really are the NFL champions!

  • AWSOME VIDEO AND A STEELER FAN MUST HAVE!!!

I watched this DVD and as a TRUE Pittsburgher and of course a TRUE Steelers fan, this is one amazing video. You hear the love in the voices of the Steelers to each of their team mates. You hear Jerome Bettis energize the team with his positive attitude. You watch the tears of Hines Ward and the Cowher family rejoice in the victory. At then end during the victory parade, you can see the 300,000 fans on the streets of Pittsburgh cheering their team. 300,000.... imagine that number!!! Unbelievable. After watching this, you can see in slow motion the actual penalties made by Seattle and why they definately should have been called. Pushing off and holding are called in regular games and the big game shouldn't be any different. The referees called the game as they saw it, and maybe the ...

  • GET REAL!!

BOO HOO WAAA!! You Seahawks are a bunch of cry babies.First off I saw only one penalty that should'nt have been called and that was your sorry excuse for a quarterback being called for a block he made. The rest of the game was fair and square. You cry babies need to check out or bone up to the fact your team was outplayed and out smarted by a team that could possibly win next year also **FACT** The Steelers over the past 5 years have had the most PUBLIC APOLOGIES from NFL refs than any other team in the NFL.Do some research on why the procedure for the coin toss channelthe Steeler had to over come many bad calls over the recent years and like real men they delt with the adversity, boned up,stayed strong, stayed focused and had a remarkable year that will go down in history (AGAIN) that ended ...
