This Canon inkjet printer has a maximum color print resolution of 4800x1200 dpi, and a black resolution of 600x600 dpi. Maximum optical scanner resolution for this all-in-one printer is 1200x2400 dpi. Printing speed for this Canon MG2220 is up to 8.4 ipm of black and up to 4.8 ipm of color. A borderless 4-inch by 6-inch photo can be printed in about 44 seconds. Color copying speed is as fast as 30 seconds for the first page out. The Canon inkjet printer utilizes a black ink cartridge and a tri-color ink cartridge for printing and copying functions. This printer can handle a variety of media types including, plain, high gloss photo, and glossy photo paper as well as semi-gloss photo paper, matte photo paper, and envelopes. Connectivity for this Canon inkjet printer is available via a USB port only. This printer is compatible with most machines running Windows XP, Vista, and 7 as well as the Mac OS X 10.5.8, 10.6, or the 10.7 operating system.     Another Canon Photo Printer

    This is an "honest" review: This is the third Canon photo printer I've purchased, and perhaps the last. All I did to the last one was relocate it, and it never worked again. Anyone who buys these knows how expensive the ink is - so Canon would make money giving away the printers - and just selling the ink. You know the ink is profitable because "compatible" inks are available for 1/5 the price of what Canon charges. That said, so far, the printer has produced nice color photos and clean printed sheets. I can't recommend it because, based on the history of the last Canon printer, this one may not last that long either. The previous one was longer lasting and I could have recommended that one, but they don't sell it anymore. To avoid the color ink prices, a lot of people are ...
