    Great entertainment for a lazy sunday afternoon

    I have seen this movie as a kid back in the 80s, and I wanted to recollect so I got myself this DVD edition. A great movie starring the legendary Michael Caine in one of his less-renowned but masterfully done roles. Supporting cast includes many celebrities such as Billy Connolly, George Harrison (who has co-produced the film), Valerie Perrine, Brenda Vaccaro and the late magnificent Leonard Rossiter as a British diplomat. The soundtrack is also great featuring Eddy Grant's theme song. The characters are not overly developed, but since this is a comedy that can hardly be considered a drawback. This movie is a very well-made classical mid-80s British comedy without any of the elements modern attempts at comedy usually resort to: nudity, obscenities, profanities and suchlike.     The title fits the movie yet pulls in the viewer

    The movie is very entertaining and very unknown. I do not know the reason for the freeze out of this product but there it is. My dislike for the product is simple. It was orginially made in a "widescreen presentation 1.77:1)" but what I have from the seller (no fault) is an "encanced for 16x9 TVs". I have several copies of this on tape (all standard size screen) but to get the DVD was important. I would love to get a DVD in a widescreen foremat. I bought it because it was on DVD and that is important also.

    Water

    This has to be one of the most under-rated, unappreciated movies ever made. From Michael Caine to Billy Connoly, the laughs don't stop. And best of all, the Music. George Harrison and a band of All-Star musicians are the icing on the cake. You will start laughing from the weather report "IT'S HOOOOOOOOOOOT" till the movie ends. Wish there were more movies like this, but since there aren't, that makes "Water" even more special.

    Water, the DVD

    Michael Caine and a very good supporting cast. This one is for the 420 friendly crowd and has some good music as well.
