    Micro USB networking

These micro USB wireless network dongles are just the thing for unobtrusive quick and dirty connection to the internet or LAN. While only wireless N 150 mbps rated, they are MORE than adequate for general home use. I've used one for about 2-3 years now in my home office, and it works well. Streaming video from my Windows Home Server 2011 system hasn't been a problem, and backups seem to work well also. Best value per buck going for home wireless networking on older USB 2.0 systems.

  • A little more expensive, but worth the extra few dollars.

Package came with a driver CD, so installation was pretty simple: plug it in, run the software, and wait. It started working, and after logging into the network, it functioned fine. This package costs more than a generic wifi adapter, but it's really nice to have an installation CD. I also purchased this because I have other TP-Link hardware providing access points. I always figure it's best to stick with one brand, for better compatibility.

  • Don't hesitate at all when considering this adapter for small networks!

As a seasoned 30yr veteran of electronics-technology I'm still amazed on occasion at how so much functional capability and performance can be squeezed into such a tiny package. And the fact these adapters can be produced and offered at such a small price-point (under $10) is just downright mind-boggling. Over the years, I've had lots of experience with a wide range of different types of wireless-adapter devices...and I can say unequivocally that the TP-Link TL-WN7225N falls right up there in perhaps the topmost 2 or 3 best overall units I've ever come across. In terms of overall value with respect to functional performance, user-friendliness, simplicity of installation, and token-small cost, I know of no other better way to go. -- I don't often write reviews...but ...

  • Great for Raspberry Pi

This is a great little adapter. If you're not looking for long range, that is, because obviously the antenna has to be very small to fit inside. It's great for my Raspberry Pi. With the proper configuration it can turn the Pi into a WiFi Access Point. But I mainly use it as just another element in my home network.

  • Small, Simple and most effective.

This was purchased for use in an office desktop computer (Win 8.1) to communicate with a wireless multi-function device on our LAN. consisting of different vendor products. It was very simple to install and activate. It small size did not interfere with nor prevent other USB connection to neighboring ports. It has performed flawlessly .
