Installation was easy for me as I have some experience disassembling the system but for new people doing this mod it's an intermediate mod. Not too hard but not that easy. Since you have to take off the shell,power supply, hardrive insert, cd case,and the base itself to get to the fan connection but it's a start to you getting into modifying your console. SCPH-3001

Fairly simple to install otherwise, it is much quieter and ultimately a well warranted upgrade for your PS2.
