About this product

Product Information

Enter the monster we love to hate: Godzilla. He’s unleashed, and he’s not alone. In Godzilla: Unleashed for PS2 (Sony PlayStation 2, 2007) the player can rampage across the earth as one of multiple infamous unleashed monsters, including King Ghidora, Mothra, Fire Rodan, Megalon, Obsidius, Jet Jaguar, Baragon, Mechagodzilla, Battra, and, of course, Godzilla 2000. The Godzilla Unleashed video game version for PS2, which was developed by Pipewords Software and published by Ataria, allows from one to four players in a three-dimensional (3D) mode. Monsters are free to destroy the earth and such iconic cities as San Fransisco, Sydney, Osaka, and New York, among others. Godzilla: Unleashed features realistic urban backdrops and cinematic action, and it may also allow a cheat to unlock a monster or a special situation. The PlayStation 2 (PS2) version of the game allows the player to take part in reinvented fighting techniques, and the player also has the choice of playing as Battra, MechaGodzilla, King Ghidora, or one of the other tail-swinging, foot-stomping monsters. Throughout the game play, players can discover various cheats and use helpful codes to unlock both special characters or monsters. Monsters in the Playstation version of the Godzilla: Unleashed game have a variety of impressive combat routines in their arsenals. Characters can perform breath attacks, tail whips, somersaults, bicycle kicks, and many more combat moves. Monsters use these combat routines as their weapon of choice during the game. Interestingly enough, some of the monsters in the PlayStation version of the Godzilla: Unleashed game are defenders of the earth and are actually trying to save it. Things do not go so well for our home planet of Earth, however, as Godzilla and his monster friends wreak havoc at every turn. The story line in the PS2 version of Godzilla: Unleashed allows the player to select from a variety of potential ways to save the earth. Video games often contain codes and cheats, and these are certainly helpful as they can show the player how to unlock a special weapon or monster. Codes and cheats for the Godzilla: Unleashed game can be obtained from other players, or they may be found online as well. Monster games such as the PlayStation 2 version of Godzilla: Unleashed test the players’ skills as they check for hidden cheats within the game that will unlock a given monster or bypass a potentially dangerous situation. Monster fights monster in the Godzilla: Unleashed video game for PlayStation 2. It seems that in order to save the earth, it must be destroyed first. With its choice of multiple monsters, various combat routines, urban backdrops, and story line choice, the Godzilla: Unleashed video game will provide endless hours of bone-crushing entertainment and fun on the PlayStation 2.

The seller corresponded with me quickly and went out of his way to ensure the item was packed securely. Especially with what I purchased, it was important to arrive exactly as it was shown in the ad, which it did. Outstanding seller.

    Original and compelling

The game really does shine for the time it was made. The full roster of monsters you can battle is spectacular. Seeing all of these greats together in the same arena is something to be in awe about. Definitely would recommend checking the game out. It's repetitive but the value of the game is something you need to play to appreciate.

  • Top critical review

    The Wii version is better.

Isn’t the same version as the Wii. The Wii copy has more monsters and better gameplay. This game just feels like a different version of Godzilla: Save the Earth. Don’t wast your money on this if you already have the other game.

Not even one tiny scratch on the disk it's new! It's a great buy for my Godzilla collection. Game play is awesome as we already have Godzilla save the earth.

  • Godzilla Unleashed, decent game but no successor.

Godzilla Unleashed much like prior Godzilla titles such as Save the earth and Destroy all monsters has the player play as one monster (out of a total of six default monsters) to help save the earth from alien invaders to giant crystals growing out of the ground and everything in-between. Unfortunately Godzilla Unleashed does nave much in the way of improvement from the previous titles and has a lacking of additional features or improved graphics. Although Godzilla does have some merit such as a large number of playable monsters (Many are similar however) and features a faction system for each monster to what ever origin it originates from (Gigan is part of the alien faction for example). But frankly if you have Godzilla save the earth or Destroy all monsters there isn't much to warrant the ...
