Rodney at his best
The protagonist is a self made millionaire who wants to bond with his son. He gives lessons in reality to snooty professors and catches a new Lady friend in the process. Oh yeah, he and his son get along fine. Its a laugh a minute fun fest. Well done all around. My wife is not a Dangerfield fan, she was laughing all the way thru.

A Dangerfield classic!
This is undoubtedly Rodney Dangerfield's best film and I believe, a comic classic. It is about a self-made millionaire who joins his son in his freshman year of college to boost his confidence and help him "fit in" better. Basically, he just wants his son be happy and successful. At the same time he manages to redecorate the dorm, show off his famous dive for the swim team, find romance and singlehandedly become the most popular "freshman" on campus. Of course, it contains many of Dangerfield's classically obnoxious one-liners, thus the PG-13 rating and also features an appearance by Sam Kennison. This one is just a lot of fun and although it is an older movie I think it would still appeal to today's generation of young(er) adults, as well as those of us who saw it the first (or second) ... Having made millions in the clothing business selling big and fat sizes he never finished school. He is a fifty-year-old guy with an eighteen-year-old party mentality. His son Jason, is at college and Rodney and his chauffeur, Lou, drive down to see him. When they arrive, they find out that he is failing, not in that fraternity, not on the dive team, and has no friends. He wants to drop out. In an effort to keep him in college, Rodney enrolls to go to school too. He has no real educational background, no SAT scores, or any other reason for college to accept him. . .so he donates a new building! Instant student enrollment. This is a typical Rodney Dangerfield movie and it is good lighthearted fun. You will enjoy this film.

What a fun movie. Has everything you are looking for in a comedy. If you don't enjoy most anything by Rodney Dangerfield, then you have never really lived.
