    A great Sailor pen for a fair price

    I really like this pen. It's my 2nd Sailor, after a 1911 Large with 21K gold nib. This pro color is pretty cool, and the steel nib is still very very good, if you like the "sailor style" nibs. They give you more feedback than most other manufacturers (except Platinum with the 3776 or the balance for example), but it's something that I like. The quality is very nice, like what you would expect from a japanese brand. The only thing which could be better to make it the perfect pen for everyday would be the size : it's not a big pen, but I knew it so no complain here. A maybe the nib choice (just in Fine?) Still a very pleasant pen that I recommend!

    Great Pen from Sailor

    I now have three Sailor Pro-Color 500's. This pen is an economical pen I feel comfortable to take out with me. The pen has a steel nib which always writes first time, every time. Never skips, never hard starts, never railroads. I have to fill in forms with small space allowed and I love how crisp this nib is. I have many pens from Pilot, Sailor and Platinum (as well as pens from other manufacturers). Sailors are known for having "toothy" nibs. I love this feel for my close quarter work on the forms. The Sailor converters are a bit on the small capacity side, so with my Pro-Color 500's, I refill the cartridges with a syringe. I also like that the pen has a screw on cap. The pen is comfortable to write with both unposted and posted. I highly recommend this economical pen.

    Very balanced - a beautiful and comfortable fountain pen. It surpasses many more expensive models of other manufacturers. If you still think to try it - buy it urgently!
