  • Bing Crosby and Jane Wyman are a Fun Pair in a Fun Pair

These two films star Bing Crosby and Jane Wyman, and both movies are very good. In Here Comes the Groom (1951), Bing plays Jane's old flame who is working with orphans in France. When she sends him a message telling him she's planning to marry into a rich family, Bing hops on a plane, taking with him two cute orphans who he can only adopt if he gets married. He's only got five days to make Jane realize he's the one she loves and tie the knot. Reminiscent of The Philadelphia Story/High Society, Here Comes the Groom showcases Crosby at his best, and Wyman isn't shabby either, teaming with Bing to sing the memorable, Oscar-winning "In the Cool, Cool, Cool of the Evening." In Just For You (1952), Bing is a Broadway producer whose busy career has prevented him from being involved in the ...

  • Very dated

These 2 seem like a strange pair. I can't see them romantically at all. Just for You, has great production numbers, rich Technicolor, fabulous set design and a typical story. its just missing a musical star. Jane Wyman can sing but she's no Ann Miller, Crosby warbling is not enough. I think it would have been better without him. Here comes the groom is a late Frank Capra movie and he really tries to make this work, with no music and Gable and Colbert it would have. But again this is a sort of musical becouse there's no dancing, it's also black and white not vivid, more grey. The music seriously gets in the way of the story. The story may be way to misogynist for modern audience's. I was disappointed. Crosby manner can get tiresome, he's always the same. Wyman is always good particularly ...

  • 2 good FAMILY movies

As i always say they just dont make movies like this any more . ACTORS ARE WELL DRESSED ,ATTRACTIVE AND ACT TO THE 9'S. JANE WYMAN at one time was married to pres. Ronald reagan in case you did not know. Both FILMS are FAMILY FILMS to watch. Collectors must have both movie combo.

  • Double feature with Bing Crosby & Jane Wyatt

Very vintage & sweet. They don’t make this kind of film anymore. Some great actors from the golden age are gone.
