    Replacement for broken player

    It is a solid player with hardwired ethernet and HDMI. No WiFi, but we didn't want that because coverage in our house isn't that great even with extenders. Direct ethernet connection is so much more stable. This was an exact replacement for a malfunctioning unit. We didn't want to invest in a newer, more expensive model as most of them only come with WiFi. We rarely use DVDs or Blu-Ray disks these days. But we have a few good disks that we held on to for sentimental reasons, and it's nice to be able to play them!

    This is a really great player & if I could afford I would purchase another as a spare. Everything operates excellent as well as NOT having the Cinavia firmware which is important for my usage. Recommended.

    Nice Bluray player

    I expected BD-550 worldwide version model, but I realize BD-550 model of U.S version is actually BD-560. And BD-550 doesn't support netflex, youtube and other steaming motion picture site anymore. Anyway I think that BD-550 is very good bluray player.
