    Marty Robbins Legendary Performances Review

    Marty Robbins Legendary Performances 2008 DVD Shout Factory begins this DVD with adds for other items which I could have done without. The earlier recordings of Marty singing are sometimes grainy and I am sure better images are available. However this DVD is well worth purchasing for Marty's Hall of Fame induction in 1982 and the lengthy interview with Marty toward the end. I have never seen this interview anywhere and it does confirm that Marty did indeed write a song called "The Mystery of El Paso" that he planned to record. Marty talks about his racing career, how "El Paso" and "El Paso City" came about. He speaks of his song "Felina From El Paso", touches on reincarnation and talks about his legion of fans known as "Marty's ...

    I REALLY LIKE THE DVD BECAUSE IT CAPTURES IN TIME ONE OF THE GREATEST SINGING TALENTS OF ALL TIME ALONG WITH THE PERFECT BACKGROUND BACKING THAT HE ALWAYS SEEMED TO HAVE FOR BACKING ON HIS RECORDINGS. I AM VERY GLAD THESE TREASURES ARE PRESERVED IN SUCH A GREAT MANNER FOR ALL TO ENJOY. I JUST RECENTLY STARTED GETTING INTO MARTY ROBBINS MUSIC SERIOUSLY AND I AM SO DELIGHTED TO FIND THAT HE RECORDED SO MUCH MUSIC FOR ALL TO APPRECIATE FROM NOW ON, HE WAS TRULY AN AMERICAN MUSICAL GENIOUS.     Great to see Marty again but this rendition leaves a lot tro be desired.

    Marty Robbins is always a treat to watch But this rendition left out the later performances when he was really a riot and instead had a bunch of talking which was of very ittle interest.

    Marty Robbins--Legendary Performances

    Marty Robbins is my favorite Western Singer. There are a lot of his songs that he does on this DVD that i have'nt heard in years and no one plays them on the Radio anymore, so i had to have it and will buy a couple of more later.
