About this product

Product Information

This futuristic racer from Mud Duck features contests of nearly inconceivable speed, with an assortment of supersonic "blade" vehicles that can push 1,000 miles per hour. The over-the-top action is matched with a selection of exaggerated characters, "from de-commissioned war droids to spoiled rich kids," giving each vehicle-driver combination its own distinct personality. In addition to competing on a number sanctioned tracks, players can also take to the streets for some "illegal" racing. Tricks are a part of the game as well, but pushing a "blade" racing vehicle beyond its driver's limits may result in a demonstration of the game's real-time damage modeling -- buckled panels, broken hydraulics, smoking engines, and worse can result from minor miscalculations at mach 1.3. Powerdrome supports multiplayer racing, both on the PlayStation 2 and through Microsoft's Xbox Live service.

Communication with the seller before my transaction was quick and efficient. The item came quickly and was packaged with care. It was in stellar shape, was reasonably priced and fair. I hope to do more business with the seller in the future!

I discovered upon testing this gamepad that several buttons were not functional, and while I was able to repair it, this item was in a significantly more used condition than described in the auction. After contacting the seller to explain the situation, they responded quickly and offered to make things right. While I did not take the offered credit, the quality customer service was appreciated. Also, the gamepad was very securely packed. A positive experience overall, with a major caveat.

For context to other sellers, this person is the nicest and most professional customer I've ever had the privilege of meeting on eBay.

Good communication, well-packed item, which arrived safe and sound. Unfortunately the cover of the magazine did not correspond to the original photo on ebay. An address tag was on the cover, which wasn't on the picture.

  • Pretty basic racing game

I really enjoy Powerdrome for PS2. It reminds me a lot of the Star Wars Pod Racing game for N64, which I also enjoyed. It's a pretty simple racing game - X to go, □ to brake. Your vehicle can accumulate damage, which you can repair (at a cost to speed). Drafting and ramming are both possible, and boosts can be accumulated by not crashing into stuff. The game is surprisingly long (there are a TON of races) and there are a lot of bonus items to unlock. The 2-player mode is also fun. My main warning would be this: if you like complex physics, you might not enjoy this game. It's got pretty basic handling. Also, if you like games with powerful vehicle customizing tools, Powerdrome doesn't have anything like that. If you're a graphics junky, be forewarned that the graphics aren't ...

  • Powerdrome (PlayStation 2, 2004)

I bought this game because it was $1.58 with free shipping. I also wanted a racing game, that was dirt cheap, LOL!!! This game resembles the Star Wars racing that Anakin Skywalker did on the 1st new S.W. movie, but on a several different settings of course. A good point is that the vehicle DOES take damage, after a while of damage you cause, the vehicle blows up, then resets fast! Until you beat the 1st level by outrunning people you can't go to the next level and new setting course. The graphics are descent, but I haven't owned any ps2 games besides Dragon Ball Z to compare. Some levels have better graphics than others. I actually haven't finished the game yet, LOL! Besides the tournament, you can race against a friend.

  • Powerdrome(Playstation 2) PS2 GREAT GAME NOW GO BID

I LOVE IT. MY KIDS WOULD PLAY IT ALL DAY LONG. THAT MENT THEY WEREN T FOLLOW ME AROUND My main warning would be this: if you like complex physics, you might not enjoy this game. It's got pretty basic handling. Also, if you like games with powerful vehicle customizing tools, Powerdrome doesn't have anything like that. If you're a graphics junky, be forewarned that the graphics aren't anything spectacular - good enough for a typical racing game, but nothing that'll blow you away. The game makes drome racing seem pretty fun with the career mode being fun.

  • Powerdrome

I like that the game is very easy to play, with different race tracks, drivers, and modes to play on. The game has good graphics, and is futuristic, even having your blade (vehicle) taking on damage.
