Communication with the seller before my transaction was quick and efficient. The item came quickly and was packaged with care. It was in stellar shape, was reasonably priced and fair. I hope to do more business with the seller in the future!

I discovered upon testing this gamepad that several buttons were not functional, and while I was able to repair it, this item was in a significantly more used condition than described in the auction. After contacting the seller to explain the situation, they responded quickly and offered to make things right. While I did not take the offered credit, the quality customer service was appreciated. Also, the gamepad was very securely packed. A positive experience overall, with a major caveat.

For context to other sellers, this person is the nicest and most professional customer I've ever had the privilege of meeting on eBay.

Good communication, well-packed item, which arrived safe and sound. Unfortunately the cover of the magazine did not correspond to the original photo on ebay. An address tag was on the cover, which wasn't on the picture.

  • Black Gold by Steven Roby

Not just for the Hendrix archivist, this book sheds important light on Hendrix the man, Hendrix the musical genius, Hendrix the wounded soul, Hendrix before he was "Jimi", and the people and events around him. For this, I find Black Gold perhaps more insightful than even one of the better biographies. The research into Hendrix before his discovery is most interesting and it points out how important Jimi's years as sideman to Chitlin' Circuit acts to his development as guitarist. This book also covers in detail Hendrix' time spent working in and around NYC. Most of this insight comes by way of interviews with Hendrix' fellow musicians, much from Noel Redding, studio people, management people, lovers. Although the biographic content was most interesting to me, the main thrust of ...

  • Well researched and highly recommended!!

  • Why Black Gold is a worthy Hendrix book.

I like to read about the history of Jimi Hendrix and Black Gold had a reputation of being revealing about Jimi,s background and told of music that he never got to release and all the complications he had with his management which stopped him from being allowed his creative freedom and how he was driven to exhaustion by gruelling tours to procur more money for his projects, hence careless drug dependancy and his death.Very interesting.i,ve only read part of this book now and it is hard to put down, well written. There are other books about Jimi but this is one of the best.caulk52
