    Use JMRI with your NCE system

    This units provides a USB interface that connects your laptop into the control bus of your NCE DCC system. You can then run the suite of JMRI tools to control locomotive and accessory programming as well as running trains. Very simple, plug and play, to setup and use.

    NCE 223 USB Interface

    I am probably the only human to have a problem with this NCE interface. I purchased the interface to connect my model railroad to my computer for the purpose of using JMRI software. It did not work for me for the interface would not establish a connection. After several consultations with the JMRI forum , I established that there was a faulty USB jack on the interface. I tried several different cables in order to connect but the only way I could establish a connection was to put hand pressure on the male cable jack when inserting it into the female interface USB jack. Once the pressure was eased, I lost connection. I sent it back to NCE but they told me it worked fine for them and sent it back. I still could not get it to work so I sent it back the second time, and since supposedly they ...

    Programming made easy

    I recently purchased a NCE powercab and I didn't want to program on the main. I purchased this interface, installed JMRI and now I am program my engines from my computer. It is so simple and easy to use.

    Haven't used it yet, but should work fine. In my humble opinion, NCE products have enough features without being loaded down with too much impedimenta.

    As described

    once u figure the jumpers, can b a pain, 1 article says this one says that, this jumper on , no off,,,,, confusing,,, finally figured it out and the biggest problem was the the cab had to be on address 2 or 3 I forgot but is NOT the default for the power cab address, once changed that all worked fine
