Legend: The Arthurian Tarot
There are beginning to be a lot of Celtic/Arthurian/Grail oriented decks out there. But THIS one, is great not only artistically, but for mythological background. I don't want to discount The Arthurian Tarot by Caitlin Matthews, or even Anna Marie Ferguson's own Llewellyn Tarot, but this is simply the best of both worlds. Great lush art, (only on EVERY card - minors too) and adequate, but not overwhelming Celtic/Arthurian backgrounds and research of the legends throughout the book. Speaking of the accompanying book, "A Keeper of Words," I recommend sucking as much information out of it as you can. This deck is great for those who can read intuitively, but it's so beautiful it oftentimes can be distracting to read soley based on visuals. I find it even more a delight to divine with it after ... (Much of the Arthurian World is conflicting tale after conflicting tale). As mentioned before, its art is also consistent throughout the deck, and she does not make the minors look "less important." Therefore, in my opinion, this is STILL the superior Arthurian deck out there!
