Item as described, USPS has been unreliable recently as far as being prompt. This package in particular circled me for days of of the way, but that's not the seller's fault. Might consider UPS. Overall, very satisfied!

What I want from external HD 1. Reliability (manufacturer, product), should not die, I want him to keep important information 2. Size 3. Easy installation 4. Speed 5. Available Space 6. Charge 7. Reliable seller --------------- Seagate is a company with a long tradition in the production of hard disks. So far I have worked with many of their products and I am satisfied of their quality. FreeAgent can fit in a shirt pocket, at least in pockets of what I have on my shirt :). This is a USB drive, on the Windows OS just plug and play, can not be easier. Believe me, 5400 rpm is quite fast enough, 10Gb is copied for 5 min, for me this is OK. This is depending on personal needs, I can say that the 320Gb (300GB formatted) very much. Price offered by the FreeAgent is even lower in comparison with ...

  • Nice Hard Drive - Nice package

Unlike most other external Hard Drives (i.e. My Book, Desk Book), this Seagate 320GB Drive has only one cable/cord to contend with. There was no 'hidden' software to mess with either. The unit was plugged into an XP-Pro operating system. NO difficulties were encountered. An expanded or very slow format was performed, after backing up the packaged software, for testing and thorough erasing. Again, no problems or concerns occurred. The Seagate Drive has been in use over 30 days. It has been attached to several different systems, continuing to work flawlessly. I bought this drive due to it's 're-certified' price and deep blue color (Mikey likes metallic blue). If I could afford it, a 500GB blue Seagate FreeAgent Go USB 2.0 Hard Drive would have been purchased. Another slight "con" for ...

  • The Seagate portable hard drive

It worked great and I was able to transfer my photos from my PC to the Seagate with no problems. All I had to do was just plug it into a USB and go to my pictures and start transfering files. You just plug in the Seagate and follow the direction on your computer screen. I just love how easy it is to use.

  • Excellent External Portable Hard Drive

It was inexpensive, had a 5 year limited warranty. The software that comes pre-loaded onto it is no big deal. I used it but it isn't necessary. Also the drive comes formatted in NTFS, if you want it in FAT, you need to download a free FAT Drive Formatting application from the web. Here is the one I used - fat32format.exe. Worked great, no gui, command line only but very simple to use. Works great on my Wii with WiiFlow 2.1

  • Seagate FreeAgent Go 320 GB usb 2.0 HD

This portable HD looks neat. The working lights can be turned on or off using the software that comes with the HD. Extremely portable and with enough space to keep back ups of important documents and essential music and picture files. The disk comes with its own manufacturer software, but you can choose to use it as a regular memory device. I never tried the software from Seagate because I rather do the backups manually, so I don't now if it's really worth installing it. This portable disk is an excellent tool for students!!!
