It ran for three years before it was cancelled. Though there have been several popular revivals, the first season holds a place in America's collective heart as the essence of an innocent and idyllic childhood. This release features the show's first week (October 3-7, 1955), alongside some previously unreleased footage, newsreels, songs, circus acts, comedy acts, Mickey Mouse cartoons, special guests, and, as ever, a few surprises.
