The listing indicated a "New" item in original packaging. Arrived in a white bubble pack, no anti-static bag. Seller did not indicate no I/O shield. I contacted the seller about how I could get the part, or give me the name and model number of the board, but I got no response. However, shipping was timely and the board is working fine.

Still a monster performer, a great overall cooler from a great company that really stands behind their products.

The Noctua NH-D14 has been a flagship cooler for a long, long time. When it comes to air coolers, you can pay more but I honestly don't think you're going to get better value for your money. First of all, Noctua's mounting system and hardware are simply the best when it comes to air coolers. The simplicity of the mounting system is excellent and is super well thought out. Performance of the cooler aside, the mounting system alone has won many awards for it's innovation. It's just a generally accepted truth that Noctua's mounting system is the best when it comes to air coolers. Secondly, and this is a bit more up for debate, but I feel like Noctua makes the best system fans in the game. Say what you will about the colors and the lack of (imo) juvenile and tacky RGB lighting, the fans are ...

  • I love Noctua!

I'm a smoker and I do the bad thing. Smoke around my pc. Now I do clean it inside every month (total removal of parts and thorough cleaning) and then reseat everything. I have one on an fx8350 with an rx580 and no other fans OC'd to 5.2 and have never seen my temps above 52c while stress testing. I don't smoke in my shop but man these things are great! Make sure your case has the room though. I run very large cases so it makes everything easy for me. I install before I put the board in, but like I said...plenty of room. The 900d cases are great! Shout out to both Noctua and Corsair there.

  • Best Coller I have ever seen for packaging, component quality, and ease of installation

I stress tested my CPU with this cooler and the system temperature dropped so fast after I stopped the test that I literally blinked and missed it! I am really impressed with the fan, how it was packaged, and the accessories that came with it. It included EVERYTHING I needed to install: heat sink paste, fan plug extensions, screwdriver, mounting hardware for three different CPU socket configurations. All the components were in their own box and small parts were in bags and labeled. Next time I build a high-end system I am definitely including this cooler or the next model as I am very impressed by it's performance.

  • It worsk for the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X

I'm getting lower temperatures than others with my AMD Ryzen 9 3950X in a warm environment with MX-4 thermal paste. I'm hoping to try a 3rd Fan from Noctua to see what results I get, but I haven't heard back from Noctua yet about a 3rd fan mounting clip. The heat-sink is very heavy, so I held the motherboard by the heat-sink, and didn't put weight on the motherboard, to avoid damage. Without thermal throttling I got temps up to 165F, but I set the thermal limit to 54C 130F, and it usually stays under 150F. That is well within the 85-90C for moderate workload specified by AMD Support, so it should be fine. I did find that results improved, when I installed a 120mm case fan blowing air from the side, directly in front of the Noctua NH-D15 inlet, as my case seemed to be blocking a lot of air ...

  • The best air cooler on the market

Crazy good cooling. The best air cooler on the market in my opinion and Ive used a more than a few of them as water cooling makes me nervous. The price is the only issue but you can absolutely feel and see the quality plus you get 2 noctua 140mm fans, which, lets face it, are the best fans.
