Shot on location in New York City, the film is both an intriguing and intelligently adult suspense film and a showcase for Fonda, who won an Academy Award for her role.

Review of KLUTE: Storyline exceptional so purchased it and background music is "riveting". Fantastic performances by Donald Sutherland and Jane Fonda. Movie inspired me to have my hair cut in her famous "shag" style. Only dislike, probably even better on DVD but don't have that yet. Also, dislike that with all the awful remakes out there, where is the remake of "KLUTE", this time with Kiefer playing his father's role and Donald Sutherland in the role of the villian ? It would explode off the screen !!! Suggest Scarlett Johannson for the role that Jane made famous.Review of KLUTE: Storyline exceptional so purchased it and background music is "riveting". I bought this movie because I had seen clips of it and it looked rather interesting plus I heard Jane Fonda won an Oscar for this movie. It definitely was an Oscar performance for Jane-she was quite good in the role. The rest of the cast was ok but Jane far and away was the best part of this film. It had suspense and an interesting story well worth getting this movie, specially for Jane Fonda fans.
