An elementary school teacher survives a savage attack by a notorious serial killer, and struggles to identify him after being stricken with a bizarre neurological disorder that prevents her from recognizing people's faces. When Anna Marchant (Milla Jovovich) was attacked by the killer known as Tearjerk Jack, a blow to the head left her stricken with prosopagnosia. Commonly known as face-blindness, it's a psychological affliction that renders even one's closest relatives unrecognizable. Now, with only her sense of hearing to go on as the hunt for Tearjerk Jack intensifies, Anna joins Detective Kerrest (Julian McMahon) in attempting to track down the elusive madman before he strikes again. Meanwhile, Tearjerk Jack has no problem recognizing Anna, and he's determined to silence her before she can turn him in to the police.

This movie has a genuine story line and some compelling characters. Overall it's better than a lot of it's kind, for the fact the focus of the movie is centered on the woman's condition and her ability and experiences in adapting and changing to her current situation. Not marred by over the top stunt sequences and special effects, it's humble direction, strong cast and well paced production keeps the viewer guessing right up to the very end. Where other movies featuring a serial killer tend try to light up the screen with gore and fear, this one uses it more as a side plot that sits behind the detective work and the woman's experiences after the initial head injury. If you like drama I think you're going to love this besides the main actress who was absolutely fabulous and made really great movies she's really a good actress, one of those models who actually turned out to have a talent. It's about a woman who loses her ability to see and remember faces so therefore her stalker who had become so after she witnessed a murder tracks her down her problem is that she can't remember faces one face looks like the next so she can't tell who's the killer and who's her friend.If you like drama I think you're going to love this besides the main actress who was absolutely fabulous and made really great movies she's really a good actress, one of those models who actually turned out to have a talent.
