Above and beyond what I expected!
I usually do research on any durable goods costing more than $50 so I read several opinions and reviews on this item. The quality of the item is definitely apparent in the materials and construction. The fit and feel of the headphones are ideal, snug but not at all uncomfortable. I was slightly hesitant to buy the phones as some reviews said the sounds or tones generated by the GGA headphones were quite different from their detectors' on-board speaker and their manufacturers supplied headphones. I have a Garrett AT Gold detector and I have found the tone generated by the Gray Ghost Amphibian headphones to be identical to the detectors on-board speaker and supplied headphones. I haven't had them underwater yet but so far are very happy with their quality and performance on land with my ... Waterproof ear phones
When I first used them on land they’re really louder than I’m used too and not adjustable. But, using them in the river they work great over the sound of rushing water. Designed for water use.
