    John Denver - Remembered - A Song's Best Friend DVD

    After seeing this show on PBS I purchased it immediately and have now watched it many times. This is a well produced tribute and history of John Denver's career as told by those who were close to him. Annie Denver's commentary is touching and focuses on the good times not the bad. Much of the narration is done by John Denver himself even though the DVD was released eight years after his death. Concert footage ranges from a very young JD to some of the last concerts he gave. It is interesting to observe his voice evolve over the years; John Denver is one of those rare vocalists who actually improved with age. Noteworthy is rare footage from his Sing Australia performance which shows a mature JD singing at his best - that is one concert that should be reissued on CD and released on ...

    John Denver - Song's Best Friend (2005, DVD)

    I bought the DVD "John Denver-Song's Best Friend" for myself. I have loved his music for the last 30 years, and this was listed as a tribute to his musical career. The DVD delivered what it had promised, and even had a few concert clips included, as well as subtitles in several languages. There apparently are fans of John Denver's music all over the world, as is evidences by the range of languages the subtitles are offered in. All songs are sung in English. This is by far one of the best (short) summation of John Denver's musical career, and I would recommend it to anyone who wished to know more about this artist and fellow human being.

    John Denver-Song's Best Friend. DVD. Better than great

    Very well laid out and seperated in segments. Wonderful caring documented interviews about John Denver from his Personal Friends and Wife. I love the story of Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. . Touching, caring, I guess, it is like being there. I used to live just outside of Denver in Arvada, Colorado and I can relate to the peacefulness of what He lived in.

    John Denver- A Song's Best Friend 2005 DVD

    Got this from my girlfriend last year for Christmas; I had seen the show on PBS and I had to have it. There is more footage and bonus songs in the DVD than there was on PBS. If you were or still are a JD fan you will really enjoy this DVD. I just wish they would release the shows that are included in the clips in this DVD. We miss you John.
