  • Little Red Songbook come to life

Excellent collection of IWW/Labor songs by a outstanding selection of artists. Fred Holstein and Utah Phillips both no longer with us are featured on the CD and worth listening too just for them. Faith Petric also is here with 2 songs. The engineering is superior quality considering its a live recording, but then again Rich Warren is a genius. The songs are timeless and the version on the CD really bring the music alive, even with some of the recordings being over 24yrs old. Any folkies or lefties should love this album, I find myself listening to the CD over and over again. "The Preacher and the slave" and "There is power in the Union" are 2 particularly strong tracks that have a great message and also the musicianship is sparkling.
