The Sony DVD player can hold up to five discs at a time, allowing for a quick transition. It is compatible with both DVD and CD formats. The Sony DVP-C660 gives the user the flexibility to change between movies and audio discs within the same device, removing the need for multiple electronic devices. It also allows the user to switch out the four inactive discs while the fifth one is playing. For clean transitions, the DVD player is equipped with both SmoothScan search and SmoothSlow forward and reverse. Other features include custom parental control, virtual enhanced surround, digital cinema sound mode, A/V outputs, and optical and coaxial digital outputs for Dolby Digital/DTS/PCM.     So Far , So Good

    I have had the exact same player for at least 10 years with great results. I thought having the same one would do just as well. I am very pleased with the function and operation of this player, though it does seem a little more temperamental with certain DVD’s. Overall a great unit.

    Sony DVP-C660 Multi-disc DVD Player

    I actually won this by chance. Huh? It came with a set of speakers I was bidding on. I set up this 5 disc player just to see if it worked as I then intended to sell it on eBay because all I really wanted was the speakers. Well much to my surprise, this is one great player! Very handsome, worked perfectly, LOADED with features lacking in most other players, such as disc explorer, name labeling capability, that can be operated by the remote. Component, composite, s-video outputs, some more than one. Optical and coaxial 5.1 digital audio output. It even has a Audio input, which I have not yet figured out what that is for as this is not a recorder. Now as it turns out, I'm having trouble deciding to sell it or keep it! Thanks, Jim

    Sony DVP-C660 Multi-disc DVD Player

    Summary: This unit is generally a good buy. It was simple to setup, has connections for almost every television and presents a clear smooth image from start to finish. While its not HD-DVD or Blu-ray, it presents DVD at its best quality. Pros: It has a five disc carousel with the option to insert additional discs while another disc is playing (continues to play the disc while the disc tray is open). It is capable of playing DVD's, CD's, or Video CD's. Moreover, it features SmoothScan forward and reverse and SmoothSlow slow motion which present clearer images while you are trying to either review a scene to catch a specific moment, or search for that last portion of the movie you saw. Similarly, its uses a Precision Drive advanced tracking system that allows it to play many flawed discs ...

    Great seller with whole sale prices i will definatly return While this player accommodates just about every DVD with flawless quality on playback and excellent sound, Other than that, it has a great nice menu system, easy to use remote and supports up to 5-discs

    Unit does not recognize dvd media.

    Product does not operate to recognize dvd movies. DVD used are newly opened discs and unit would not recognize them.
