    Great little saw

    I love the fact it does not have the extra safety switch so I can concentrate more on safety than pushing two buttons. Also has nice view looking at cut from left side. Has some flex in the rest so you need to use a gentle hand, love the light weight and I feel in control because of the great design. Saw blade lock is in a good location, blade change outs simple but wish Allen wrench was a little more secure

    ITS A GREAT SAW . THERE ARE SOME THINGS THAT HAVE BEEN CHANGED FROM THE FIRST ONES. THE TRANSITION FROM 45 TO 50 DEGREE IS VERY STRANGE . YOU ALWAYS WANT A FIRM STOP AT 45 DEGREES BECAUSE YOU USE IT MOST . OH WELL .

    Quality Powerful Saw

    I wanted a small compact circular saw to make plunge cuts (approx 1/2 inch deep). Had been using a cordless saw, but lack of power was a problem. This saw has a thick cast base (my first), after plunging & slight pressure moves forward. Didn't realize a stamped thin metal base flexes so much & is prone to binding. This saw is powerful & easy to control.

    Design problem, front grab knob....

    Have been cutting sheet goods and dimensional lumber. The saw powers through all without a problem. Cuts well, feels good in the hand. Problem, the front grab knob. While moving some lumber the saw was knocked from bench height to the floor. The front grab knob came off ! When I looked at the knob I saw it was secured to the saw only at one small lip and only with a single #8 - 1" screw. It looks like the grab knob was a quickie, last minute after thought. Don't know if I'll replace the knob or just continue to use as is. Otherwise the "REFURBED" saw arrived absolutely blemish free and the TOOLS DIRECT price was great.
