Peace sells and I'm buyin'!
Hadn't heard this in about 20 years but when I saw that this was on DVD-A I had to get it. I tend to favor music that's mixed in multi-channel format and this is no exception. While it's not the best surround mix I've heard and the production is a little bass shy/treble happy - the songs kick ass! Great guitar and drums throughout. Mustaine always has rocked and the main lead guitarist, Chris Somebody, friggin shreds. (sorry Chris) It's also mixed in DTS 5.1 and PCM stereo so it can be played on a regular DVD player. DVD-A Sells...But Who’s Buying?
I’ve owned this one twice it’s so good!! The Multichannel mix is so great on this with “The Conjuring” being the masterpiece...all the different voice stylings and effects being sent to the 5 channels is amazing on that track, literally five different voices in the opening lines. The extras are to die for two with the “Peace Sells...” video being here. The dts 96/24 track is flawless, I actually never even tried out the stereo mix in Advanced Resolution but I’m sure it’s as good as you’ll find, blowing red book CD releases away. If you are into Hi-Fi or interested in Multichannel mixes, or just an incorrigible metal head, pick this one up!I’ve owned this one twice it’s so good!!
